Women's Snowboards
There are a number of features that are similar in between
men’s snowboards and women’s snowboards, however, there
are also a few features that are quite different. For example:
• Lightness – Women’s snowboards
are typically much lighter than men’s snowboards. A snowboard
for women does not need to be heavy in order to be effective. Even the
light snowboards are still made from solid substances, therefore the
lack of weight does not mean a lack of quality.
• Bindings – The bindings in women’s
snowboards are almost always different than they are in men’s
snowboards. Typically women’s snowboard bindings are designed
to match up to the sizes of women’s boots. By having bindings
that match up to their boot sizes, women are assured that they will
have excellent fits on their snowboards.
• Colors – Although some women’s
snowboards look similar in design to men’s snowboards, the beauty
is that a woman can go either way. If she wants a board that looks similar,
she can have it. However, if she wants a pink snowboard that has paintings
of rainbows and shooting starts on it, she can have that, too.
• Width – Women’s snowboards often
are a little more narrow than men’s snowboards. This accounts
for the fact that men typically need more room on the boards to stand
than most women do. The fact that women’s snowboards are often
slimmer also gives them a sleeker look and feel.
